Meeting with the delegation of the Russian Federation
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic met with the delegation of the Russian Federation that participates in the 7th International Armaments and Military Equipment Fair "Partner 2015". The delegation is headed by First Deputy Director of the Federal Service for Military Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) Andrey Artourovich Boytsov.
During the meeting, it was stated that the relations between Serbia and the Russian Federation were traditionally good and friendly, and that the Declaration on Strategic Partnership signed by Presidents of the two countries in 2013 in Sochi confirmed the intentions to further develop cooperation in all fields. Minister of Defence stressed that Serbia extremely appreciated the principled support of the Russian Federation for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country.Gasic and Boytsov also discussed modalities for the improvement of the military economic cooperation between the two countries. On 19th June, the Serbian National Assembly ratified the Agreement on Military-Technical Cooperation, which will positively affect further development of cooperation in the field, as Minister of Defence stressed.
Minister Gasic said that the Ministry of Defence would provide all support for the representatives of the Serbian special purpose industry for further improvement of cooperation with the Russian Federation.
