Office for Gender Equality
Office for Gender Equality is an internal unit at the Human Resources Sector, Ministry of Defence, responsible for undertaking and coordinating activities concerning the implementation of gender equality policy in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
The Office is responsible for coordinating the preparation and implementation of the National Action Plan for the implementation of UNSC Resolution 1325 - Women, Peace and Security in the Republic of Serbia, in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, in collaboration with other government bodies, organizations and mechanisms for achieving gender equality in the Republic of Serbia. It is also responsible for the preparation, organization and participation in professional meetings, development of methods and tools for effective and efficient communication with internal and external publics in this field and other activities aimed at raising the employees’ collective and individual awareness of the need for gender and other forms of equality.
