Wreaths laid on the monument to Senta battle



President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić has met today in Senta with Hungarian President Janos Ader on the occasion of marking the 320th anniversary of the battle near Senta.
 
During the meeting, President Vučić thanked Hungary for supporting the European path of Serbia and expressed his satisfaction with the successful development of relations between Serbia and Hungary, stressing that the political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries are at a high level.
 
"Stability and successful development of relations between Serbia and Hungary are the priority of both countries. From January to July 2017, the trade exchange reached EUR 818.7 million, which indicates the confidence of the business world in both countries", President Vučić said. He stressed that there is a favourable and stimulating business environment and security for investors in Serbia, and that Hungarian investments and the participation of Hungarian companies in joint projects are welcome. President Vučić added that the intensification of cooperation between the two countries is possible in the areas of infrastructure, transport, energy, agriculture, water management, telecommunications, tourism and cross-border cooperation.
 
President Ader emphasized that bilateral relations are at the highest level and that political dialogue and personal relations between the leaders of the two countries are constantly improving, stressing that the credit for improving these relations largely belongs to President Vučić. "Hungary supports Serbia's accession to the EU and is ready to share with Serbia its experiences in negotiations with the EU", Hungarian President stressed.
 
After the meeting, President Aleksandar Vučić and Janos Ader laid wreaths at the monument to the heroes of the battle of Senta.
