Minister Rodic receives Greek CHOD

Defense Minister Nebojsa Rodic met today with the Greek CHOD General Mihail Kostarakos .

Both sides expressed their strong commitment to the promotion of cooperation in the fields of education, training officers for participation in multinational operations, military medicine , cyber defense and military economic cooperation. Cooperation and joint participation in exercises were singled out as especially important forms of cooperation.

Also both sides expressed gratitude for the professional engagement of the armed forces of Greece in KFOR expressing hope that in the near future there will be no reduction in the contingent.

General Kostarakos said that Greece will continue to provide ongoing support to Serbia's membership in the European Union and international organizations. He pointed out that, historically based relations between the two countries are traditionally good and invited Minister Rodic to visit Greece.

Members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces will continue with visits to traditional Serbian military memorials in Greece ( Zeytilnik , Policastro , Corfu and Vido ) as a sign of preserving the memory of the common history of the two nations.
