Minister Rodic meets with the Croatian CHOD



The Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, Nebojsa Rodic met with Chief of General Staff of Croatian Armed Forces , Lieutenant General Drago Lovric . At the meeting it was noted that there is intense mutual interest in promoting bilateral military cooperation in the future.

Minister Rodic stressed that the priorities of the Government of the Republic of Serbia – were faster integrations into the European Union, the economic recovery and fight against systemic corruption and organized crime – which has received a new impetus.

He thanked Croatia for supporting Serbia on its path towards the EU and added that the Croatian accession to the European Union represents a stimulus for the European perspective of the entire region .

"The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia is interested in establishing cooperation in all areas of mutual interest and promotion of mobilization and Military Cooperation , with careful consideration of the mutual engagement in multinational forces , establishing military economy cooperation and joint appearance on third markets," said Minister Rodic .

Lieutenant General Lovric, who is on his first official visit to Serbia, said that Croatia strongly supports Serbia on its path towards the EU expressing the willingness of the Croatian side to exchange their experiences and present it to the Serbian Army, concerning the accession of integration.

It is necessary to consider plans for future cooperation in order to build stability in the region and beyond. With constant improvement of good-neighborly relations and cooperation , the armies of the two countries are willing to provide peace in the region and its capability in carrying out peacekeeping missions in the world," added General Lovric .
