Military Security Agency




Military Security Agency is a security service and an integral part of the Republic of Serbia's intelligence-security system. As an administrative body within the Ministry of Defence with a legal entity status, the Military Security Agency is responsible for providing security and counter-intelligence protection to the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.

Military Security Agency is independent and politically and ideologically neutral in executing activities within its competence.


ORGANIZATION



The Act on Internal Organization and Systematization of the Military Security Agency is a state secret.

Information about the number of employees working for the Military Security Agency constitutes classified information.

The Director manages the work of the Military Security Agency and reports to the Minister of Defence.  

The Deputy Director reports to the Director of the Military Security Agency.

General Affairs are an organizational unit of the Military Security Agency responsible for planning, programming, budgeting and execution; planning and organizing cooperation with international organizations, foreign intelligence-security services and security services and other bodies within the country, as well as protocol tasks and activities and administrative work.

Internal control is an organizational unit of the Military Security Agency responsible for controlling the legality of work and the exercise of authority by members of the Military Security Agency.

Operations are an organizational unit of the Military Security Agency responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating operations, in accordance with the jurisdictions prescribed by the Law on the Military Security Agency and the Military Intelligence Agency.

Analytics is responsible for data monitoring, processing and evaluation and the production of information, analyses and evaluations for the needs of state and military leaderships.

Support is responsible for personnel, logistics, financial, IT, telecommunication and other forms of support in the planning, organization and implementation of the Military Security Agency’s work.

Military Security Agency Centres provide security and counter-intelligence protection to organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces’ units, commands and institutions in the assigned areas of ​​operational competence.
