President Vučić arrives at Pasuljanske Livade Range



The President of the Republic and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, has just arrived at the "Pasuljanske Livade" Range, where the final stage of the joint tactical live-fire exercise "Fire Shield 2022", will be jointly carried out by Army units, Air Force and Air Defence units and Special Forces.
  President Vučić, who was given the report in front of the Honour Guard, was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović.
The Army Commander, Lieutenant General Milosav Simović, the Air Force and Air Defence Commander, Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, and the commanders of the 63rd Parachute Brigade and the 72nd Special Operations Brigade, brigadier generals Nenad Zonić and Miroslav Talijan, had previously briefed Chief of the General Staff and Minister of Defence about the units’ readiness to perform the exercise.
 
After the exercise objective was stated and the scenario was described, the President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić, gave his approval to the Deputy Army Commander, Major General Slađan Stamenković, to issue the command to start the exercise.
  The joint tactical live-fire exercise "Fire Shield 2022", with more than a thousand members of the Serbian Armed Forces participating, aims to enhance the capability of the Serbian Armed Forces commands and units to carry out defensive day and night operations on different types of terrain and in different weather conditions.
