Meeting between Minister Vulin and the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Chen Bo




Minister of Defense Alexander Vulin met with Chinese Ambassador to Belgrade Chen Bo today to discuss co-operation in defense and the upcoming visit by the country’s delegation led by the first vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission.

Serbia-China co-operation is characterized by frequent high-level meetings and top-level dialogue, Minister Vulin said, pointing out that General Zhang Youxia’svisit to Serbia in early September would be one of the highest in the history of military co-operation between the two countries.
Minister Vulin reiterated that Serbia appreciates the foreign policy of the People’s Republic of China based on respect for the principles of peaceful coexistence and respect for all factors in international relations. Hegave thanks for the clear and consistent support when it comes to preserving Serbia’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty and preventing the illegal membership of the so-called “Kosovo” in international organizations and said that Serbia supports the One-China policy.

The general conclusion of today’s meeting is that the cooperation between Serbia and China in the field of defense is implemented in line with the overall cooperation of the two countries; that it is at a high level, and that there is room for further improvement in the fields of military-economic, military-technical, military-military and military-medical cooperation.
