Minister of Defence extends greetings on military holidays

Greetings on the Day of the Military Police

I extend to all members of the Military Police my best wishes as they celebrate 14th September – the Day of the Military Police.

Since the establishment of the Military Police in the Yugoslav People's Army by the Order of the Supreme Commander of the armed forces of FNRJ, members of the Military Police continue to properly perform their tasks in the field of combating crime, control and maintenance of military order and discipline, securing the most important military facilities, regulation and control of military traffic and antiterrorist protection.

This year, besides other units of the Serbian Armed Forces, your units are engaged with the police force to execute joint tasks to prevent the illegal entry of migrants coming from Bulgaria and Macedonia, and bringing traffickers to justice by the people who perform that job on the territory of the Republic of Serbia. By professional and responsible attitude towards work and maximum engagement, you managed to maintain a respectable level and contribute to preserving and strengthening the operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces.

Being sure that you will continue also in the forthcoming period, regardless of the conditions, to achieve significant results in your work, I extend my greetings on your holiday.

Greetings on the Artillery Day

I extend to all members of the artillery branch my best wishes as they celebrate 14th September – the Artillery Day.

Continuing nearly a century-long tradition, you are celebrating the holiday of the branch at the required level of operational capacity thus giving your full contribution to the development and affirmation of both your branch, and the Army and the Serbian Armed Forces as a whole.

I am confident that, relying on many years of your experience you will continue also in the forthcoming period to work on the professional development of the members of this branch of the Serbian Armed Forces and successfully carry out all the set tasks.

On your holiday, I extend my best wishes to you, confident that you will continue to work responsibly on the professional development and technical equipping of your units.

Greetings on the Day of Quartermaster Service

I extend to all members of the quartermaster service my best wishes as they celebrate 14th September – the Day of the Service.

Continuing a tradition of more than a hundred and thirty years ago when the Minister of War, General Staff Colonel Jovan Petrovic issued an Order on the Main Quartermaster Service and Administration of the Supreme Headquarters, you have been successfully contributing to building the operational capability of the Serbian Armed Forces. Apart from the highly complex conditions and circumstances in which you operate, you confirm by your work the importance of the quartermaster support for the life and work of commands and units of the Serbian Armed Forces.

One of the very important elements of the functioning of the defence system is certainly the logistical support. With the desire for you to continue to successfully perform the set tasks, I extend my best wishes to you on your holiday.
