Defence Minister receives the Director of the Centre for Security Cooperation � RACVIAC



Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic met today with the Director of the RACVIAC –Centre for Security Cooperation Ambassador Haydar Berk.

Minister Djordjevic stressed that the regional cooperation is one of the foreign policy priorities of the Republic of Serbia, and that it represents the best way of preserving stability and security in the region. Ministry of Defence, as the institution responsible for cooperation with the Centre for Security Cooperation on behalf of the Republic of Serbia, refers both the personnel of the defence system and from other government institutions to the activities of the Centre.

Both sides stressed the important role that the Centre for Security Cooperation has as a regional international organization for promoting cooperation and stability in the region of South-Eastern Europe. Also, during the discussion, the previous activities of the Serbian Ministry of Defence and the Centre for Security Cooperation were positively assessed and their positive trend was ascertained. They particularly emphasized the necessity that all decisions that are made at the Centre are a matter of consensus.

Ambassador Berk thanked the Serbian Ministry of Defence for the previous support to the operation of the Centre for Security Cooperation and expressed hope that in the forthcoming period, the cooperation will be enhanced to the mutual benefit.
