Exercise Air Solution 2015 ended

After three days of aviation activities in the airspace of Serbia and Romania, today, at airport in Batajnica, the exercise Air Solution 2015 was successfully ended. It featured representatives of the SAF Air Force and the Air Force of Romania.

The exercise was conducted in the territory and in the airspace of Serbia and Romania, with the goal of raising the capability level of the Serbian Air Force for conducting tasks of control and protection of airspace and protection of air forces during the execution of operations.

Head of the exercise of our members Brigadier General Predrag Bandic, Commander of 204th Air Brigade analyzed the exercise and stressed that the cooperation between the two Air Forces had lasted for over 10 years.

- This has been our sixth jointly realized exercise. It began with activities of airspace control, but intensively grew in time, and now includes activities of air surveillance activities, informing and navigating missile units for air defence actions and almost all aviation units of the Air Defence. With the exercise, we have confirmed the friendship of the two countries and the two people, and the intensive partnership relationship between the two Air Forces, with which we are very proud – General Bandic said.

According to him, in the past three days, the participants of the exercise conducted tasks in rather complex conditions, and showed the results of the two-year training cycle.

- Their results reached the demanded standards for flying in international conditions, for flypast in airports in other states, for actions in air defence and air support. We also had search and rescue activities with mutual exchange of helicopters in the two countries’ territory, at two training fields in Romania and Serbia – General Bandic said, adding that it was an exercise unique in Europe.
