Seminar on the work of HR department



In the House of Guards in Topcider a seminar on the work of the Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, was held today with participation of representatives of the administration and the department responsible for the status and personnel issues in the Department of Human Resources Management in Sad and the department with the same name in SAF.

The purpose of the seminar , opened by Head of the Department Maj. Gen. MO Sladjan Djordjevic, was the exchange of experiences, through the analysis of existing personnel security defense system and the construction of more efficient modern philosophy of human resource management.

General Djordjevic, at the beginning of his speech, stressed the importance of human resources in the development of operational capabilities of the armed forces and military organizations.

They determine the potentials and viability of each element of the organizational structure and the basic cause of success or failure. In the present context of globalization, asymmetric threats, economic instability, in accordance with the goals of reform, there is a need for a new approach to human resource management of the Serbian Army, which will fully take into account and achieve the goals of its professional members and military organizations. Human resources are the most important resource which has to be in the focus and interest. This is why we are constantly creating conditions for a sustainable staffing structure, development, education and training of staff in accordance with the needs and tasks and missions of the Army of Serbia, said General Sladjan Djordjevic.

The head of human resources for the SAF Colonel Petar Boskovic also spoke about new condition in human resources management, who said that a transparent selection of staff leads better staffing pyramid and much more efficient and modernized army.

-- We must use resources that come to us with each new generation of lieutenants, and educated young men and women. The criteria established for the promotion are not the best, they never will be perfect, but it better to have some criteria than none. Now we can see our place in the army ore realistically and objectively, because we are not as we see ourselves, but as you others see made by criteria and assessments. This is the essence of the new personnel management policy, policy centered around a man with all his abilities, resources, motivation and achievement, said, among other things, Colonel Petar Boskovic.

The participants of the seminar paid greatest attention to the analysis of existing criteria such as ranking, selection, admission and termination of professional services, information systems, personnel records, receipt of civilians ...

On the occasion of Day of Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Assistant Minister for Human Resources Major General Sladjan Djordjevic extended his congratulations.
