Scouts from Pančevo visit Military Academy

Members of the Association of the 72nd Special Brigade Veterans and members of "Crne Rode" and "Janošik" scout squadrons from Pančevo had the opportunity today to explore life and work at the Military Academy and learn about the advantages of attending military schools.
The visitors got acquainted with the programmes and curricula used by the military schools, and were given a tour of the classrooms and sports and cultural facilities. The guests looked at various aspects of military education, broadening their knowledge and experience by interacting with the cadets of the Military Academy, students of the Military Grammar School and the Secondary Vocational Military School "1300 Corporals".
Visit to the memorial room of the Military Academy, which preserves a 174-year-old tradition, was the first stop on their tour of this higher education institution. In the topography and geography lab, they were shown the skills and abilities that future officers and NCOs acquire using modern teaching tools. They were also shown the Sports Centre where the importance of physical fitness and team spirit was pointed out to them.
The most interesting part of the visit was the demonstration of activities carried out by members of the scouting and shooting clubs. The young scouts had the opportunity to make tarp tents and tie knots, feeling a unique connection with military life and comparing it to the activities done in their squadrons. Members of the shooting club demonstrated their excellent shooting skills using air weapons.
This joint activity helped the visitors to get the feel of everyday life at the Military Academy and marked the beginning of a successful cooperation.
