An MOD delegation led by acting Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Predrag Bandić has been on a two-day visit to Podgorica to discuss defence cooperation and sign the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan 2024 with the representatives of the Ministry of Defence of Montenegro.
At the meeting with the acting Director General of the Directorate for Defence Policy of the Montenegrin Ministry of Defence, Radmila Perović, Assistant Minister Bandić expressed the commitment of the Serbian Ministry of Defence to improving and broadening the defence cooperation with Montenegro on a bilateral level, but also through regional cooperation formats.

Director Perović emphasized the necessity to intensify defence cooperation, particularly in the fields of military medicine and CBRN defence, as well as to strengthen mutual understanding and good neighbourly relations with the aim of increasing overall stability in the Western Balkans.
The meeting participants agreed that the cooperation in the field of defence was good, and that by respecting each other’s foreign policy priorities, the two countries can further improve the cooperation to the mutual benefit of both countries.

During their visit to Montenegro, the MOD delegation attended a reception organized by the Serbian Defence Attaché Office in Podgorica to mark the Serbian Armed Forces Day.
