State Secretary Starović Meets Ambassador of Italian Republic Gori
Today, State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence Nemanja Starović had a meeting with Ambassador of the Italian Republic Luca Gori.
State Secretary Starović underlined that the relations between Serbia and Italy are developed, dynamic and unburdened by open issues, and he expressed his belief that the upcoming official visit from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević to Italy, at the invitation from Minister of Defence Guido Crosetto, would contribute to their further strengthening.
As State Secretary Starović stressed, the cooperation between Serbia and Italy is intensive and qualitatively enhanced in areas of mutual interest. He stated that a great number of bilateral military cooperation activities had been carried out in the previous period, the most significant among them being the visit from Italian minister of defence to our country and mutual visits from the chiefs of general staff.
Ambassador Gori expressed gratitude to State Secretary Starović for the meeting and the opportunity to discuss the upcoming visit from Minister Vučević to Italy, and the cooperation between the two countries, including the defence cooperation. He shared his expectation that the enhancement of the overall relations between the two countries would continue.
