49th Multinational Advisory Group (MAG) Meeting



Head of the International Military Cooperation Department, Colonel Nebojša Svjetlica, chaired the 49th meeting of the Multinational Advisory Group (MAG), the steering committee to the Centre for Security Cooperation – RACVIAC, which was held in Belgrade.
Serbia took over the chairmanship from Romania at the 48th MAG Meeting held in Croatia.  
 
The meeting discussed topics that are relevant to the functioning of RACVIAC, such as the submission of the annual report for 2022, the implementation of the Activity and Budget Plan 2023/2024, regular change in personnel and filling vacant positions.

During the meeting, the handover/takeover ceremony between the outgoing RACVIAC Director, Major General Jeronim Bazo ret. (Albania) and the new RACVIAC Director, Ambassador Constantin-Mihail Grigorie (Romania) took place.
  Besides RACVIAC members, associate and observer countries also attended the meeting, as well as international organizations, agencies and other bodies cooperating with or involved in RACVIAC.
 
Members of RACVIAC are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Romania, North Macedonia, Turkey, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia.  

The Multinational Advisory Group (MAG) has been under the chairmanship of the Republic of Serbia twice, in 2006 and 2014.
