Completion of Basic Strategic Defence Planning Course
Colonel Slaven Vujić, head of the Strategic Planning Department, Defence Policy Sector, presented today certificates of completion awarded to the Basic Strategic Defence Planning Course participants from the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff and the Training Command.
On that occasion, Colonel Vujić said that all course participants had shown absolute commitment and a high level of understanding of the subject matter. They had the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge needed to participate in the strategic defence planning process, including the preparation of basic strategic and development planning documents, with an emphasis on the assessment of strategic environment, challenges, risks and threats, formulating the required capabilities and determining the difference between the required and existing capabilities of the defence system, determining needs and measures against capability factors, as well as describing, evaluating and ranking options for the development of the defence system.The course was held at the Strategic Planning Department, with lecturers from the Strategic Planning Department (Defence Policy Sector), the Military Academy and the “Field Marshal Radomir Putnik” School of National Defence.
