Delegation representing Norwegian Ministry of Defence visits Military Academy
A delegation representing the Norwegian Ministry of Defence visited the Military Academy today to get acquainted with the training facilities of that higher education institution and visit Norwegian cadets who study there, based on the agreement between the Serbian and Norwegian ministries of defence on the exchange of cadets and teaching staff.
On behalf of the Defence University and the Military Academy, the guests were received by Colonel Aca Ranđelović, Assoc. Prof., and his associates. According to Colonel Ranđelović, today's visit is extremely important for further improvement of cooperation in the field of military education between the two countries. Colonel Srećko Kuzmanović presented to the Norwegian delegation the Military Academy’s tradition and capacities, as well as the programmes of study and training programmes that the Norwegian cadets attend.
The Norwegian delegation, led by Lieutenant Colonel Per Krogdahl, expressed great satisfaction at participating in the cadet and teaching staff exchange programme and showed interest in all aspects of education, from candidate selection and admission, to the teaching process to the completion of schooling and appointment of graduates to initial commanding duties.After the meeting, representatives of the Norwegian Ministry of Defence visited a part of the training facilities available to the cadets, including the tactical exercises classroom, weapons and military equipment classroom, the sports centre and the pistol shooting range.
A conversation with the Military Academy cadets ended today’s visit. Professors teaching the Norwegian cadets emphasize that the cadets have shown great interest in the training programmes they attend. The Norwegian cadets expressed satisfaction with the way they were accepted by all members of the Military Academy and the diversity of programmes that the institution offers. Also, they agree that the things they learn in classes contribute to their career development.
The Norwegian delegation will attend cadets’ training in the field tomorrow.
