Minister Vulin meets with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Botsan-Kharchenko



The Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin met today with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Belgrade, Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko.

Minister Vulin and Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko agreed that the relations between the two countries are at the highest level thanks to personal relations between the two presidents and supreme commanders of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Aleksandar Vučić and Vladimir Putin.
The minister of defence thanked for the active support and principled attitude of the Russian Federation towards the preservation of territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia.

Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko emphasized that the Russian Federation closely follows the continuation of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina with the aim of finding a long-term political solution which is in the interest and acceptable for Serbia, adding that the continuation of the dialogue is of the utmost importance. 

Minister Vulin and Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko pointed out that the cooperation between the two ministries of defence and armed forces is at a historic high and emphasized the importance of continuing military technical cooperation.  

Minister Vulin accepted the invitation of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergey Shoygu, to attend the closing ceremony of the 6th “International Military Games” in the Russian Federation in which the Serbian Armed Forces traditionally participate.  

Members of the Serbian Armed Forces will compete in two events in the Russian Federation this year – “Tank Biathlon“ and “Military Rally“, and in the Republic of Belarus, in the event – “Sniper Border“.
