Head of Defence Technologies Department Handover Ceremony




 
Today, in the Material Resources Sector, Head of Defence Technologies Department handover ceremony was held with presence of Nenad Miloradović, PhD, Acting Assistant Minister for Material Resources, representatives of the departments of the Material Resources Sector and members of the Department.
 
By the decree of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, Major General Prof. Mladen Vuruna is appointed Head of Defence Technologies Department of the Material Resources Sector.
 
Former Head of Defence Technologies Department, Major General Prof. Bojan Zrnić, is appointed Head of the Military Academy. 
 
Emphasizing the importance of duties within the competence of the Defence Technologies Department for the process of equipping and modernizing weapons and military equipment of the Serbian Armed Forces, Assistant Minister for Material Resources, Nenad Miloradović, PhD, wished success to the newly appointed head in carrying out all the tasks that are being put before the members of that department.
 
In his address, General Zrnić wished success to the newly-appointed head of the Department and emphasized that he was leaving for his new duty with a personal sense of satisfaction, convinced that in the existing conditions, everything that was possible was done in the previous period. He also invited all members of the department to continually keep in mind the key mission and vision of the Department to become a highly competent organizational unit of the Ministry of Defence capable of ensuring the availability of weapons and military equipment necessary for the development and maintenance of the operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces and at the same time to develop scientific-technological and industrial base of the Republic of Serbia in the field of defence.
 
Newly-appointed Head of Defence Technologies Department, Prof. Mladen Vuruna, in his address, thanked General Zrnić for the tremendous contribution he gave over the past nine years in the field of development and modernization of weapons and military equipment, as well as the development and improvement of the defence industry's capabilities of the Republic of Serbia, and he wished him a lot of success in further work, convinced that he will be equally successful on his new duty. In particular, he stressed that in the forthcoming period, with the support of the members of the Department, he will try to accomplish all the tasks in the field of defence technologies at the required level in order to achieve the goals set in that field.
