Bronze Medals for Military Oarsmen
At the state rowing championship on ergometer machines that was held last weekend in the Sports Hall “Ranko Žeravica” in New Belgrade, the rowing team of the Military Academy achieved a great success. In the competition of students, in which more than 50 competitors participated, a cadet of the Military Academy, Dragiša Koprivica won a bronze medal in male competition while a female pupil of the Military Grammar School, Anđela Vučković won a bronze medal in female competition.
The Rowing Championship of Serbia on ergometer machines was the first official rowing competition in 2018. The best oarsmen of Serbia participated in this Championship in youth, cadet, and junior, senior and in veteran competitions.
Many participants in the student competition are the oarsmen from the best Serbian rowing clubs, which speaks in favour of the success of the cadets. Apart from the Serbian clubs, the rowing club Jedrine from Višegrad also took part in the competition.
The organiser of this prestigious competition, at which more than 500 male and female competitors fought for the medals, was the Rowing Association of Serbia.
