Meeting of the Ministers of Defence of Serbia and Paraguay




 
Today in the edifice of the Old General Staff, Minister of Defence AleksandarVulin met the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Paraguay Diogenes Martínez with whom the talked about the capacities of Serbian defence industry and current politico-security situation in the world and region.
 
The interlocutors agreed that the first official meeting of the ministers of defence of Paraguay and Serbia represented a new chapter in the overall bilateral relations of the two countries.
 
- I expect that mutual visits will enable observing the potentials and common interest and opportunities for the establishment of cooperation in the field of defence industry to mutual satisfaction – Minister Vulin stressed.
 
Minister Vulin particularly thanked the Republic of Paraguay for the principled politics in relation to the unilaterally proclaimed independence of the so called “Kosovo”.
 
- We believe that a consistent policy founded on law pursued by the Republic of Serbia has, in this case, started giving results, firstly by stopping the trend of recognising the unilaterally proclaimed independence of the so called “Kosovo” and then through the beginning of the process of withdrawal of already given recognitions – Minister Vulin concluded.
