Club of the Generals and Admirals of Serbia Supports the Strengthening of the Serbian Armed Forces



Today, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin met the representatives of the Club of the Generals and Admirals of Serbia, with whom he talked about the opportunities for further support of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces to the work of that association and about current issues of the status of former members of the military.
 
The minister of defence pointed out that the Ministry of Defence also takes care of the retired members of the military and that it will continue taking care in terms of their standard in the future as well.
 
“You, as well, are a part of our armed forces, because by your work on high level duties you have contributed to making it what it is today and we wish that you continue having this feeling of belonging and feel that the state takes care of your status” – Minister Vulin highlighted.
 
He expressed readiness to continue cooperation with that association in all the segments that require support of the Ministry of Defence, stressing that the cooperation so far has been successful.
 
The representatives of the Club of the Generals and Admirals of Serbia thanked Minister Vulin for his understanding and the support that the Ministry of Defence has been rendering to the activities of the Club. They emphasised that they also recognised the care of the state and that the announced measures for the increase of pensions influence the betterment of the standard of the retired members of the military.
 
Furthermore, the representatives of the Club commended the provision of new equipment and armament for the armed forces, highlighting that they supported strengthening of the Serbian Armed Forces and that such step forward spoke in favour of the seriousness of the state leadership that had fulfilled their promise.
 
During the meeting, a proposal was made to include competent individuals from the Club in the debate regarding the National Security Strategy.
