There is no good Armed Forces if the soldiers are not satisfied



Kazakhstan is a friendly country with a highly developed defence industry and has an army that, like the Serbian Armed Forces, was arming in the former Soviet Union, Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin said in “Dnevnik”, prime time daily news TV programme on Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).
 
He expects the visit to be at the highest level, and that they will also talk about the defence industry.
 
Assessing the situation in the Serbian Armed Forces, Vulin said the Serbian Armed Forces is very good and that the renewal of the Air Defence and the Air Force is needed.
 
The Minister announced that by the end of the year, the "MIGs 29s" from the donation of the Russian Federation will arrive in Serbia.
 
Speaking about the standard of the members of the Armed Forces, Vulin said that there is no good military if the soldiers are not satisfied. He expects that, by the end of the year, the salaries of all members of the Serbian Armed Forces will be increased by 10% and he announces that a package of measures will be adopted as soon as possible, which will improve the position of the members of the Armed Forces and their families.
 
As for investments in the elite medical institution of the Military Medical Academy, which was initiated by former Defence Minister Zoran Đorđević, Vulin says that these investments will continue.
 
- It must be ensured that the best ones are rewarded to prevent the outflow, Vulin points out, adding that the Ministry of Finance is working on it.
 
He announced that by the end of the year, the rulebooks concerning rewarding in military institutions will be adopted.
 
Speaking about the recently opened competition for admission of 926 professional soldiers, Minister Vulin said that the competition will continue and that over 800 soldiers have been received so far.
