Opened Exhibition “Belgrade – the City where I Create”

After the summer break, Media Centre “Odbrana” presented today to the visitors of the Small Gallery of the Central Club of Serbian Armed Forces the author exhibition of academic artist Marina Milovanović Kušić, who is inspired by the capital of Serbia.

The project, which has been carried out for the first time in 2014, gathers the artists of Belgrade artistic scene and also those who are inspired by Belgrade while creating their artistic works. Different sensibilities of the artists and their impression of the city, or the moments in it, condition entirely different responses to Belgrade so that the exhibition offers for viewing the recognisable Belgrade exterior and parts of the city.

The present were addressed by the Head of the Gallery of the Central Club of Serbian Armed Forces, Jelena Knežević, the Curator of the Gallery “Singidunum” Maja Škaljac Stanošević and the author of the exhibition.

According to the words of Jelena Knežević the exhibition gathers a great number of artists of visual and applied arts inspired by Belgrade, who presented themselves using different media.

The curator of the “Singidunum” gallery expressed her satisfaction with ever growing number of participants year after year, while the author, Marina Milovanović Kušić commended the diverse approach of the numerous artists whose only similarity was the assigned topic which was Belgrade.

The exhibition „Belgrade – the City where I Create“ was organised in cooperation with Media Centre “Odbrana“ and the Association of visual artists of applied arts and designers of Serbia.

The visitors will have an opportunity until 21st September to see the works of our eminent artists, as well as the works of the younger generation of Belgrade artistic scene.
