The opening of the new hall was attended by Assistant Minister of Defence for Material Resources, Nenad Miloradović, Head of the Defence Technology Department of Ministry of Defence, Major General Bojan Zrnić and managing director of the Company, Zoran Stefanović.

Minister Đorđević expressed his satisfaction with more modern equipment and new working conditions in the Company.

- During earlier talks with the trade unions of all defence industry factories, the emphasis was on the fact that, in the coming period, we will devote most of care to workers, their safety and working conditions. This factory demonstrates that they all work in the best conditions and using the most modern equipment. There has been invested 14.8 million euros, of which 6 million for equipment, 6 yet to be invested, and 2.8 million euros were spent for construction works. The latest equipment means a lot to workers in their job, what resulted in doubled capacity and doubled production capabilities, Defence Minister said, adding that it now takes less time to produce what gave them opportunity to perform better at the economic level.

- We expect in the forthcoming period that the export becomes higher. Last year it was a record one in the whole defence industry - 56 percent higher than in 2015, Minister Đorđević said.

According to the Managing Director, today's opening of the hall is a very important moment in the work of the Sloboda Company which "rounded out an investment cycle".

- The hall and equipment, both the one that started operation and the one that is to start in the forthcoming period, enable us to double our commodity production. We achieved, in 2016 already, 70 percent increase in commodity production compared to 2015, and in the current one we expect it to double compared to the previous year.  It will bring good effects for the workers and for the economy, and it is important to note that we already have provided active contracts that allow us to full employment and 2018.  I hope that this trend will continue, Stefanović said.

After touring the new hall, the defence minister held a meeting with associates and leadership of the company "Sloboda" ad.
