New appointments at the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces



Pursuant to Article 112, paragraph 2 of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia and Article 17, item 9 of the Law on the Serbian Armed Forces, Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic has issued a decree on the appointment of Colonel Prof. Dr. Miroslav Vukosavljevic as the Acting Head of the Military Medical Academy.
 
Colonel Vukosavljevic completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Military Medical Academy and PhD at the Faculty of Medicine, Belgrade University in 1999. He was promoted to the rank of Colonel in 2004. Since 2005 he has held the post of the Head of the MMA Clinic for Ophthalmology and as of 2010 he has been a full professor at the MMA Faculty of Medicine.
 
According to powers of Serbian President, the new Commander of the Joint Military and Police Force engaged in the securing of the state border is Brigadier General Dejan Jankovic, Chief of Staff of the Training Command.

Brigadier General Jankovic will take over this duty from Brigadier General Mile Jelic, who has recently been appointed the Head of the Personnel Department in Sector for Human Resources of the Ministry of Defence by the decree of Serbian President.
