A visit to the Joint Military and Police Force



Diplomatic and consular representatives from 20 countries, the UN, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and 18 foreign military representatives accredited in the Republic of Serbia have visited today the Joint Military and Police Force in Sector “B” engaged in the securing of the part of the state border with the Republic of Bulgaria.
 


In the barracks “Nikola Pasic” in Zajecar the guests from the foreign countries were welcomed by the Serbian Armed Forces Chief of Operations Department of General Staff Major General Vojin C Jondic and Commander of the Joint Military and Police Force Major General Zelimir Glisovic.

Major General Glisovic informed the diplomatic and consular representatives and foreign military representatives about complex tasks performed by the Joint Force, the situation at the part of the state border and undertaken measures to prevent illegal entries of migrants to the Republic of Serbia.



In the continuation of the visit, the guests saw the possessed post “RTB Bor”, where the work of the Joint Force during motorized patrols, ambush and observation posts were presented. The foreign representatives had the chance to see a part of the equipment used by the members of the Joint Force while performing tasks.
 
At the border crossing “Vrska cuka” diplomatic and consular representatives and foreign military representatives attended the display of cooperation between the border police of the Republic of Serbia nad Slovakia in securing the state border with the Republic of Bulgaria within the project “Special measures 2” under the command of the Joint Force.
