The dialogue with the representatives of Club of Generals and Admirals of Serbia



Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic met today with representatives of the Club of Generals and Admirals of Serbia with whom he discussed the current situation and issues of importance to this association that gathers the highest ranked officer corps retired.

At the meeting, they discussed the status issues of generals and admirals retired and the supporting activities of the Club, especially outside the borders of the Republic of Serbia.
 
In an open discussion, Minister Djordjevic pointed out that the Club of Generals and Admirals have the full support of the Ministry.
 
- In the forthcoming period we are to face with intensive modernization of the Serbian Armed Forces, and the first results will be visible in 2017, Djordjevic said. He added that the improvement of the material position of the members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces remains a priority of the Serbian Government and the Ministry he leads.
 
Djordjevic introduced the representatives of the Club of Admirals and Generals to changes in military health care system, with special reference to the Military Medical Academy.
 
- The aim of the changes in the military health care is primarily to improve health care for active and retired members of the Armed Forces, Minister Djordjevic pointed out.
 
At the initiative of the Club of Generals and Admirals of Serbia, the issue of awarding Military Memorial Medals for the participation in combat to retired members of the military.
 
President of the Assembly of the Club of Generals and Admirals, Lieutenant General retired Milomir Miladinovic, said that the Club had excellent cooperation and understanding with the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and to fully support the state policy as a whole.
