Producer and lead actor of Train Driver’s Diary, Lazar Ristovski, accepted the invitation of Minister of Defence Zoran Djordjevic and personally attended the premiere.

- This film was not made for one type of audience. It is in fact one profession, about which people think they know something, but actually they know very little about the profession of a train driver and how stressful and complex that profession is. But this is, I would say, a warm, humane story – Ristovski said expressing particular satisfaction with the presence of audience of all ages at tonight's projection.

According to him, the film was well received by fans of the seventh art, which is best evidenced by the fact that at its world premiere at the festival in Moscow, it won the Audience Award.

The film Train Driver’s Diary has interwoven elements of comedy and melodrama, while generally it is a warm humorous story about friendship and love. Screenwriter and film director Milos Radovic succeeded in his intention to raise the story about innocent murderers – train drivers above the usual dark humour stories. In the creation of film characters, he included also the memory of his father – a railway worker. The Train Driver’s Diary is Serbian candidate for the 89th Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
