New Housing Concept
Within the activities of the Government of the Republic of Serbia in Nis, today, in the Army Command, state secretaries of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Nenad Neric and Zoran Lakicevic, respectively, had a meeting.At the meeting, the project "Custom House" of the Building Directorate of Serbia was presented, representing a new housing concept in the context of the Master Plan for the disposition of military real estates which are not necessary for the normal functioning of the defence system.
It is the initial initiative of the Building Directorate of Serbia and it will be reviewed by Minister of Defence Zoran Djordjevic. As validation of the offered model, location of the Marko Oreskovic military barracks in Nis will be considered.
The new housing concept stipulates that the Ministry of Defence takes an active part in the construction of flats for members of the defence system.
- In this way we would ensure the price of a flat under construction per square meter to be much lower than it is now, what would represent, with the repayment period of 30 years, a great convenience to all our members who decide to buy an apartment, State Secretary Neric said.
The meeting was attended also by the Army Commander Lieutenant General Milosav Simovic, Assistant Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Veljko Kovacevic and Director of the Building Directorate of Serbia Nebojsa Surlan.
