Open day at the Nis airport



Отворени дан на аеродрому НишThe fact that the Aviation and the Armed Forces, in the 21st century, are fascinating for the residents of Nis and southeast Serbia, especially the young people, could have been seen today at the military airport in Nis where, from 10 am to 14 pm, the Open Day was held, organized by the 98th Aviation Brigade. Lines of cars to this military facility were kilometres long, but rare were those among several thousand interested people who gave up their intention to visit the airport.
 
Members of the 98th Brigade, 250th Missile Brigade and the 63rd Parachute Battalion of the Special Brigade of the Army, showed a part of the aircraft, combat and non-combat means, materiel and equipment used in their work, but also part of their skills.
 
Отворени дан на аеродрому НишThe programme began with parachute jumps from a transport helicopter, after which the pilots showed to the enthusiastic guests the manoeuvrability of helicopters Gazelle and Gamma and fighter bomber Eagle.
 
Of the aircraft, visitors could see the planes G4 Supergaleb and Antonov AN2 and helicopters Gazelle, Gamma and HT40 (known as Mi8).
 
From the 250th Brigade, complex Air Defence missile systems were shown, and members of the special forces displayed to young people always attractive weapons and equipment ...
 
The aviation modellers from Nis have also introduced themselves.
