Nebojsa Rodic is the new minister of defence



In the ceremonious session in the National Assembly last night new members of the Government of the Republic of Serbia were elected, among whom the new Defense Minister Nebojsa Rodic was elected.

He was born in 1952, he graduated from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade in 1977, and passed the bar in 1979 .

In the center for higher military studies "Marshal Tito" he graduated from the School of National Defense .

He has spent most of his career in the civil administration of the Republic of Serbia , and served as an assistant minister for information, and after that he was appointed state undersecretary .

In the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, worked as a deputy secretary of the Assembly and the head of the Assembly Chairman’s cabinet.

In the General Secretariat of the Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs, as an ambassador , he worked on administrative and legal affairs .

Furthermore, he served as Secretary General of the President of the Republic of Serbia, while in August 2012 he was appointed Director of the Security and Information Agency.

From 2005 to 2007, according to the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia , he was the Dean of the College for Professional Studies in Technology in Sabac .He is currently a professor in primary and specialist studies.

He coauthored the book "Serbian governments from 1804 to 2004 ". .

He is fluent in French and English.

Has two sons and two grandsons.
