The Protocol on cooperation between RTS and MoD signed
Defence Minister Nebojsa Rodic and the Acting General Director of Radio Television of Serbia Nikola Mirkov today signed a protocol on cooperation between the two institutions in the media centre “Odbrana” today. This is a document which, taking into account the long-term fruitful cooperation of defense and national television , defines their relations in the field of media coverage of the activities of the Army and the Ministry. The protocol specifically deals with cooperation for recording and broadcasting the program " Dozvolite" and activities the system of defense will carry out during the celebration of the centenary of the First World War.Defence Minister Nebojsa Rodic said that the protocol serves as a reminder of the previous time commitments and the time in which we did, but it creates a good projection of what the future should be, and the Army of Serbia and RTS . National media company and the Army are as Minister Rodic underlined, recognizable symbols of the Serbian people .
Minister Rodic thanked Nikola Mirkov for recognizing the need to sign a new document on the cooperation of the Radio Television of Serbia and the Ministry of Defence.
Nikola Mirkov , Acting General Director of RTS said after the signing of the Protocol to the Army of Serbia today is the keeper those values which seem to be more vulnerable than ever. The memory of the importance of the army have been suppressed, said Mirkov by exaggeration of the significance of recent history .- The crisis of the memories are still under the attack of counterfeit facts , pseudoscientific interpretations and often malicious intent towards the people represented by the military. Therefore, the centenary of the Great War invites us to face first with our own forgetfulness and negligence by their own ancestors both famous and those anonymous- as Mirkov observed. He said today that patriotism should be an aim to be reached by getting to know ourselves, the knowledge of their history , compassion , empathy , honest work , tolerance , patience , solidarity ... Nikola Mirkov expressed the hope that the result of cooperation can surpass intent and content of the document is signed.
The signing of the Protocol , in addition to representatives of the media was attended by the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Defence Zoran Djordjevic , head of public relations department in MoD Colonel Petar Boskovic , director of TV RTS Vladan Čkrkić and editor in chief of the RTS Nenad Lj . Stefanovic .
