The meeting of the President and the Supreme Commander Vučić with the representatives of the Serbian defence industry




The President of Serbia and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić has met today with the representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the companies - members of the Serbian Defence Industry Group. The meeting at the Office of the President of the Republic of Serbia was attended by the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin, Assistant Minister for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović PhD, and Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Petar Cvetković.

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs Nebojša Stefanović, the Minister of Finance Siniša Mali, and the Director of the Security and Information Agency Bratislav Gašić.

“A very important meeting for the renewal and strengthening of our military industry” – President Vučić wrote on his Facebook account “The future of Serbia – Aleksandar Vučić” after the meeting.

The Serbian Defence Industry Group was formed by a decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia with the aim to achieve a strategic interest in a unique and harmonised way in the field of arms and military equipment production by those manufacturers who are majority-owned by the state or private sector.

The initial number of members of the Serbian Defence Industry Group is 17 – companies that deal with the defence and basic technologies in the field of military industry.
