President Vučić: The situation for the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija is much more difficult than until yesterday

Asked to comment on the statement of KFOR’s spokesperson “that the biggest threat to peace in Kosovo and Metohija is the rhetoric of leaders and media abuse”, and that there was no surprise and that “everyone was informed in advance” about yesterday's action, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that KFOR representatives should say whom they informed.

- We received intelligence information about this around 15th May, and I revealed that to the public around 17th May to publicly beg them not to do it. Regarding the rhetoric they are talking about, they are not status neutral at all, they are dealing with rhetoric and tricks – President Vučić said.

The president called on the KFOR representatives to say whom they informed, because yesterday, at one moment, they did not even want to talk to General Milan Mojsilović, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces.

- And then we were those who did not want to talk anymore. They were heard only around 11:30, when I said that you should get in touch and warn them about what was happening in the north. As long as the crisis was going on, when it was the hardest, there was almost no contact – President Vučić said adding that KFOR was not telling the truth and that this can be easily verified and proved.

According to President Vučić, although they think that everything is over, the situation is much worse and more difficult today than it was yesterday at this time.

- Since we have not only intelligence data, but we also talk with our people in Kosovo and Metohija, as far as the Serbian population living throughout Kosovo and Metohija is concerned, the situation today is a much more difficult than until yesterday. They arrested 20 of our people – for corruption, border police, then they say that this is because of the murder of Oliver Ivanović and Zamberi – President Vučić pointed out.

President Vučić concluded that Serbia will preserve its people, protect it and will not sit on its hands, despite the falsehoods.
