Meeting of Minister Vulin with Greek Minister of National Defence Apostolakis

Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin met the new Minister of National Defence of the Hellenic Republic Evangelos Apostolakis at the exhibition “IDEX 2019”.
Ministers Vulin and Apostolakis are pleased with the achieved level of defence cooperation, and they particularly stressed the significance of military exercises of special forces, and the joint participation in HELBROC battle group with Greece as the leading nation.

Minister Vulin expressed gratitude for the continued support of Greece to the preservation of territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia and stated that the relation that Greece had demonstrated until that moment regarding the south Serbian province was a confirmation of a true friendship between the two countries and peoples. He emphasised that the establishment of the so called “Armed Forces of Kosovo” was unacceptable for Serbia and he also expressed his opposition to a decrease in the number of KFOR troops deployed in Kosovo and Metohija, since Serbia considered KFOR as the only armed formation in Kosmet.

The Greek minister said that he would continue providing support to Serbia in the matter of Kosovo and Metohija and underlined that he did not agree with the statements of Albanian officials advocating for the abolishment of borders, whereat he praised the temperate reaction of Serbian politicians.
