Minister Vulin: The people have good reason to trust their armed forces and the state

Today, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Milan Mojsilović handed over the keys to 25 flats to active and retired members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces. The ceremony was held in the Great War Hall of the Old General Staff.
As Minister Vulin pointed out, since the beginning of 2018 until the present, the Serbian Armed Forces had managed to resolve the housing issue for more than 704 families.

- The Serbian Armed Forces are rebuilding a system. We show that we take care of each of our men no matter if he is an active member of the Serbian Armed Forces, or a retired person, no matter if he is a serviceman or a civilian employee – the minister of defence stated and added that all who belonged to the defence system deserved equal attention and deserve to be taken care of together with their families, since there is no the defence system without each and every one of them.

According to Minister Vulin, the system that once took care of the people was methodically and intentionally destroyed in order to undermine the combat readiness of our armed forces and destroy our defence system, but now, it is successfully and speedily recovering.

- The people have a good reason to trust their armed forces and the state and be a part of defence system. Join the defence system, be a part of defence system and you should know that you will be taken care of from the first day when you become our member until the last day. Each member of defence system can and has to rely on his armed forces and his state – the defence minister concluded.

One of the families which have resolved their housing issue today is the family of Major Saša Premović, Head of Centre of the Ministry of Defence in Novi Pazar.

- After six transfers and almost thirty years of active service in the units of the Serbian Armed Forces and Ministry of Defence, I have received the keys to a two and a half room flat in Raška Garrison, where from I started my life journey back in 1970 – Major Premović underscored and thanked the state and the Ministry of
Defence for the care.

After several decades of work in defence system, Vesna Popjovanov has received today her own roof above her head. Vesna Popjovanov is a desk officer in the Legal Section of the MMa.

- I am very happy and satisfied because I have properly solved my housing issue after 37 years of responsible and diligent work in the Serbian Armed Forces – said Popjovanov adding that she would live in the flat in New Belgrade with her daughter.
