Department for Civil-Military Cooperation (J-9) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff is one of the award winners, "Hello! Awards 2015" for humanitarian and volunteer work, which is traditionally awarded by media association "Color Press Group" from Novi Sad. At the ceremony at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Belgrade, the award was received by the head of the Department, Colonel Igor Avdic.

Deserving individuals and organizations, which showed the most beautiful face of humanity during the year, were presented awards by celebrities from the world of culture and the arts.

The explanation for the award to the Department for Civil-Military Cooperation (J-9) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff underlines that in the period from 2009 to 2015, 241 actions were conducted within the project "Military doctor in the village", "Military dentist in the village", "Village revisited" and "Working weekend in the country". In 258 villages throughout the territory of Serbia, more than 10,000 people were examined, and they were provided service of primary medical examination, while for infirm persons home visits were organized.

The responsible structures for the realization of the activity were Serbian Armed Forces authorities for civil-military cooperation while the members of the Serbian Red Cross and the Ministry of Agriculture were involved in the activities, too. Visits by medical teams to remote villages populated mainly with elderly people who find it difficult to go to the doctor were accepted by the local population as a gesture of extreme care and humanity that has significantly contributed to the promotion and reputation of the Serbian Armed Forces in public.
