Preparations of members of the Guard for the parade in Beijing

Members of the Guard of the Serbian Armed Forces, who will participate in the Military Parade in Beijing on 3 September in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the victory over fascism and the victory in the war of liberation of the Chinese people against Japan, conducted today at the barracks Dedinje the final preparations before going to the People's Republic of China . An echelon of 75 SAF members of the Guard will march on the Tiananmen Square under the command of Major Marko Marjanovic.

The head of the delegation Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Vukajlovic said that the preparations were in the final stage, and that in the next few days 81 members of the Guard would go to China.

- This will be a new experience, and the military step and the Parade should be of a slower rhythm. The experience from Moscow was

invaluable, it facilitated these preparations, and I believe that it will facilitate the realization of tasks and the stay in Beijing – Lieutenant Colonel Vukajlovic said.

Major Marjanovic said that everyone was ready for the task and very well trained, and that he was certain that the echelon of the Guard in Beijing would represent the Republic of Serbia and its Armed Forces in the best way.

Members of 14 armies worldwide will participate in the Military Parade in Beijing, including the Serbian Armed Forces, and this is the first time that such an event has included foreign armed forces.
