Minister Gasic visited the works on the construction site Bezanijska Kosa
Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic visited today the construction site Djeram to where the construction of housing units 24 and 25 for the needs of the defence system is currently under way. Minister and Secretary of State Nenad Neric were informed on the state of the facilities in the past year and the current state accomplished by the works performed by Military Construction Institution Belgrade, whose investor is the Military Construction Centre Belgrade.The Defence Minister said that a year had passed since the beginning of works on the arrangement of space in front of buildings 24 and 25 and that, thanks to the capable and competent people in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, these objects had been brought to the final stages of construction.
- With this example and exchange of apartments throughout Serbia, in cooperation with the local governments, we have shown that the
Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces take care of their members and continuously work to resolve their housing issue. We want to send a message to members of the Armed Forces that we will devote a lot of attention to housing through loans next year as well, because we want for the members of the defence system to remain in one of the most organized systems of our country, and this is precisely the Serbian Armed Forces - Minister of Defence explained.According to Technical Director of the Military Construction Institution Belgrade Lieutenant Colonel Milovan Ostojic, much has been achieved over the past year.
- In 2014, we found only excavation and bushes, and now we have a facility in the coverage phase with all the rough construction works completed. In the past year, the Institute for Material Testing of Serbia, which was also supervised in clearing, was handed the material that we had found, and everything that had been found to be of bad quality, due to long periods without repairs, was destroyed. The Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces have their own concrete factory in Bezanijska Kosa and manufacturing facilities in Sabac and Beli Potok, which will equip the buildings with roof constructions, woodwork, carpentry and locksmith elements - Lieutenant Colonel Ostojic said.The building 24 was completed in 1992 at the third and fourth floors, and in the place of the building 25, there was only a foundation. It is planned that by the end of the current year all the rough construction works and facade are completed, and according to the schedule of works and financing, the completion of works is planned for late 2016.
The Military Construction Institution Belgrade has so far built objects 29, 30, 31 and 32, or 509 apartments for members of the defence system in the area of Bezanijska Kosa, and another 160 apartments will be built in buildings 24 and 25.
