Briefing for media representatives on cooperation between Serbia and NATO




The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia organized a briefing for media representatives in the Central Military Club of the Serbian Armed Forces to present activities in the field of cooperation between Serbia and NATO within the Partnership for Peace Programme, especially in the context of the implementation of the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) between Serbia and NATO.

At the briefing, participants from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were Acting Assistant Foreign Minister for Security Policy, Ambassador Branimir Filipovic and Head of the NATO and Partnership for Peace Department Diana Ivancic, and from the Ministry of Defence, Head of the Strategic Planning Department of the Defence Policy Sector, Brigadier General Slobodan Joksimovic and Major Srdjan Glavonjic from the Directorate for Planning and Development of the Serbian Armed Forces.

Media representatives were introduced to the political, military, economic, scientific and other forms of cooperation between Serbia and NATO, which are covered by IPAP. During the discussions, special focus was put on considering the benefits that Serbia can achieve in the implementation of PfP mechanisms and PfP SOFA Agreement.
