Procurement of dialysis material for Snezana Vukotic arranged



At the initiative of the Ministry of Defense, the Procurement Department has agreed for the acquisition of material for hemodialysis "Gambro" that military insured Snezana Vukotic has exclusively used for 30 years to conduct a negotiated procedure with a company - "Medicon" Company, which is the exclusive distributor of the said dialysis materials, which solved a serious problem of the patient, and the entire system of the military health care.

Specifically, Snezana Vukotic is a military policy holder that has been on home dialysis for over 30 years. During all that time, the military health care system supplied the patient with the material "Gambro", and the problem occurred when it was no longer in stock. Out of abiding by the Law on Public Procurement, the military health care system could not provide it, because the necessary dialysis supplies for all military insured is supplied in an open procedure of centralized procurement, according to the adopted Procurement Plan for 2015.
Of course, Snezana Vukotic was proposed to use the dialysis at MMA, as other military insured; however, she rejected that proposal.

Due to the specificity of the case of the patient who insists on "Gambro" material, and the fact that it is a matter of preservation of human life, the SOVO Fund decided to cover the costs of dialysis for the patient for May and June this year, and until the end of the procurement.
