Minister Gasic visited Cvore base and Presevo crossing

Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic visited today the Cvore SAF military base on the border with Macedonia in the “South” region where members of the Fourth Army Brigade conduct regular tasks on securing the administrative boundary line with Kosovo and Metohija and controlling the Land Security Zone.

In Cvore base, Minister Gasic was welcomed by Lieutenant General Milosav Simovic, Army Commander and Brigadier General Zoran Lubura, Commander of the 4th Army Brigade.

Addressing the lined-up soldiers in the base, Minister Gasic stressed that they were the largest defence force of Serbia and that Serbia would not allow for any endangerment of its citizens.

In his press release, Minister Gasic said: “The Serbian Armed Forces have raised the level of combat readiness and are prepared to preserve Serbia's territorial sovereignty and integrity of the country and its citizens together with other security structures”.

Minister of Defence also visited the Presevo crossing, which was not busy tonight. The state is as usual, members of the border police stated, during their talks about the situation on that crossing.
