Defence Minister visited YUMCO LLC in Vranje
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic visited today the holding company YUMCO LLC Vranje. During the meeting with representatives of the company, Minister was informed about the level of realization of the contract on procurement of M-10 camouflage uniforms and the stage of its production. Later on, they visited the production facilities of the company.Minister stressed that it was “nice to see 620 machines working and sewing for the Serbian Armed Forces and the Police”.
- In the past year, this Government has contributed to the significant results of YUMCO Company. Last year, the Serbian Armed Forces gave over 670 million dinars for purchasing uniforms. For the first time in 15 years, we have a significant amount in stock and full stock of combat and service uniforms. In 2015, we have planned giving another 600 million dinars from the savings in the Budget of the Armed Forces to YUMCO for another batch of uniforms. This week, there will be a delivery of 14,000 pieces. Next year, we will also realize the request of members of the Air Force and give them back the blue uniform, so they will not have to wear the M-10s any more – Minister Gasic said.
He added that the cooperation between YUMCO and the Serbian Armed Forces had been excellent in the past two years, that they had solid contracts and expressed his hope that such cooperation would continue in future years as well.
