Meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea



Meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of KoreaDefence Minister Bratislav Gasic discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Lee Do-Hoon the possibilities for cooperation in the field of defence.

Capacities of the Serbian defence industries and opportunities for cooperation in this area were presented at the meeting. The Korean side was offered to visit to R & D and production capacities of the Ministry of Defence, depending on their interest.

Having in mind the engagement of the Korean Armed Forces in peacekeeping operations, it was jointly concluded that the exchange of experiences in this field and the establishment of cooperation between the Peacekeeping Operation centres represent mutual interest.

Gasic and Do-Hoon talked also about the possibilities of realization of joint development projects and the establishment of cooperation between the services in the intelligence and security sector.

The Serbian Minister of Defence presented the Korean Ambassador Do-Hun with the Course Catalogue of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and proposed coordination of the Defence Cooperation Agreement between the two countries as soon as possible.
