Joint session of the collegiums of the Minister of Defence and the Chief of General Staff

In Krusevac barracks "Car Lazar", today, the joint session of the collegiums of the Minister of Defence and the extended Collegium of the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff was held. Leaders of the defence system discussed current events and reviewed the state of the system.

After the meeting of the collegiums, in the memorial room of the Krusevac barracks, Minister Gasic met with the recently retired generals of the Serbian Armed Forces and on this occasion he presented them with military memorial medals for outstanding contribution to the defence.

In a speech to the generals, Minister Gasic pointed out that they have all given a huge contribution to operational and functional capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces.

- We are here today because we are proud of your work in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces. We expect that you will be with us also in the future. I am sure that every advice and experience of yours will be of assistance and use for us. I am sure that you will also proudly preserve the military medals which you have received today, and wear them on certain occasions as Serbian officer always did, Minister Gasic said.

Chief of SAF General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic, members of the collegiums and the retired generals visited the monastery "Saint Roman" near Krusevac.
