Tactical exercise with live shooting "Winter 2015"
Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic and the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic, with members of their collegiums, have attended today the execution of tactical exercise with live shooting "Winter 2015" on all-service training ground of "Pasuljanske livade" near Cuprija.A number of 808 members of the 4th Army Brigade and 22 members of the 98th Aviation Brigade of the Air Force and Air Defence participated in today's exercise whose theme was "Reinforced infantry battalion in defence with the transition to attack,".
Minister Gasic pointed out that the exercise was an opportunity to review the operational capabilities and the quality of training of members of the 4th Brigade, which has a longer period spent in the Ground Safety Zone.
- What has been shown was commendable and is part of the activities under the first mission of the Serbian Armed Forces – the Defence Minister said expressing his satisfaction with the results seen during today's practicing whose aim was to show the level of training of units in the preparation and execution of combat operations in the winter.
Congratulating the participants of the exercise, Minister Gasic rated the exercise as "very good".
Combat means during the exercise included M-84 tanks, combat vehicles, self-propelled howitzers, armoured personnel carriers, helicopters, mortars and GAMA combat helicopters.
