Binicki Ensemble at the Ball in Brcko
The Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence Stanislav Binicki performed last night at the traditional Svetosavski Ball in Brcko, in the north of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The ball at the city Hotel Jelena was organized by Svetosavska Youth Organization of the Serbian Orthodox Church from Brcko, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Hrizostom of Zvornik-Tuzla, under the auspices of Mayor Anto Domic.
With the Ensemble, conducted by maestro Pavle Medakovic, performances were given by
soloists Jelena Tomasevic and Dejan Pesic, actor Goran Jokic, Church Choir “St. Stefan Decanski” and the Ensemble of the Serbian Cultural Society Prosvjeta. The repertoire included compositions “Kraljevo kolo”, “stose bore misli moje”, “Somborske ruze”, “March on the Drina”, “Srpkinja”, “This is Serbia”, “There, far way” and others. This year’s Svetosavski Ball in Brcko was dedicated to jubilees – 200 years since the beginning of the Second Serbian Uprising and 20 years since the signing of the Dayton Agreement, and in honor and glory of Saint Sava.
Revenue from this year’s Ball will be donated to charity.
