Minister of Defence congratulates the Day of the Military Museum



The tradition long over 130 years and the fact that, in the toughest times, you managed to preserve the Serbian cultural heritage make this day even more significant. It my great honor and pleasure to congratulate you August 22, the Day of the Military Museum.

Your task is not an easy one. While preserving glorious moments from our history that have been the foundation of Serbia’s nationality, you have also contributed to protecting and representing our cultural heritage. With your exhibitions held on the occasions of state and military holidays and the international cooperation with which you have presented our culture and tradition to the world, you have shown the way a country’s national spirit and tradition are nurtured.

I am convinced that you will achieve astonishing results in the future as well; that you will preserve the current and gather new museum items. Your dedication to organizing exhibitions, here and worldwide, will preserve the memory of our ancestors, and this is why representing the rich cultural treasury from the collections of the Military Museum is extremely important.

I congratulate you on your holiday, assured that you will continue confirming that you are a praiseworthy institution.
